The main targets in Containerships’ strategy are growth and consolidation of market presence. According to the strategy, the Company will be the leading door-to-door operator in short-sea segment in the Baltic Sea, as well as one of leading container distributors in Russia by 2020. The Company has established transport services between the Baltic Sea and the Mediterranean and has also a strong position in Central and Eastern European markets.

Containerships aims for its service selection to evolve into an entirety of different multimodal logistics solutions. This objective rests on the service selection based on transport time and distance, as well as on the industry’s best customer service and operational reliability. A strong partnership network supports the target.

By 2020, Containerships will have established its position as the first logistics company offering a logistics chain in Europe based completely on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). The Company is the first to operate its four LNG container vessels in the Baltic Sea. By 2020, 25% of the Company’s truck fleet will utilise LNG. Containerships is committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 5% a year in the Baltic Sea.

By 2020, Containerships will utilise best-in-class vessels, containers and truck fleet. The Company’s operations will be the most efficient in the sector.
